MiKE: Rain keeps falling on my head?

During last weekend's Nuit Blanche, the "free all night contemporary art thing", we saw her walk past us along the street, accompanied, of course, by a coterie of paparazzi-like photographers.

I don't know the reference, or if there was one to begin with; but she had a white umbrella lit up from underneath with pretty strong lighting, the circumference of the umbrella dangled the strands as you can see.

Any ideas what this is supposed to mean? Or if there is some inter-textual reference that I am missing out here?
