teething pains

You can't see it in this picture, but his lower front teeth are coming out. Little white things on his gums, barely there, just below the surface, and the part of the gums over the teeth a little raised.

Apparently, we've read that babies can be very irritable when their teeth come in. So far, so good — he's not been more irritable than usual, although we do notice that he likes to bite on things slightly more than usual.

What's really curious is friends who tell us their kids started to sleep through the night once their teeth have come in.

We are definitely waiting for his teeth to arrive then.
